Held via our Leigh Creek Copper Mine subsidiary, the project is situated in the Flinders Ranges, a copper rich belt of South Australia. The project covers 935 km² across three exploration leases containing multiple copper deposits, close to infrastructure. The project areas have been subject to significant historical exploration and some past production.

In 2025, Strategic Minerals granted an option to a potential buyer of the project. The transaction, if concluded, will see Strategic Minerals retain a continued interest in the project through a shareholding in the purchaser and receive future cash payments linked to commercial production.

At a Glance

History: Acquired by Strategic Minerals in 2018, there has been small scale production at the project in the 1960s and again in 2010-2011. Mining for copper has occurred throughout the Flinders Ranges since the late 1800s, mainly from shallow underground workings

Infrastructure: Close to grid power and access infrastructure, adequate water from underground sources, and a processing plant within one of the lease areas

Resource: JORC (2012) Resource of 5.4 Mt @ 0.7% copper for contained copper of 36.4 kt
