History: Acquired by Strategic Minerals in 2018, there has been small scale production at the project in the 1960s and again in 2010-2011. Mining for copper has occurred throughout the Flinders Ranges since the late 1800s, mainly from shallow underground workings
Infrastructure: Close to grid power and access infrastructure, adequate water from underground sources, and a processing plant within one of the lease areas
Resource: JORC (2012) Resource of 5.4 Mt @ 0.7% copper for contained copper of 36.4 kt
Copper: A highly conductive, durable, and corrosion-resistant metal essential for electrical wiring, electronics, construction, and renewable energy technologies
